SMISDY (which stands for Sorry Mate I Didn’t See You) was originally buit by a team of bikers called Team Ixion. SMIDSY appeared in Robot Wars series 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7.
When this came up for sale we were looking for a heavtweight Robot for Colin to drive which would be good to drive and had to be driven well to be successful.
Since we’ve had it we’ve removed the spinner (most arenas not being capable of running them now) and used the weight for some 4mm Hardox armour. We’ve also added four 3000mAh battery packs to allow SMIDSY to run for at least two fights without being re-charged which should help0 with maintenance in the pits.
